Sometimes this could be a nightmare, but here I'll give you a couple of tips on how to choose your perfect color for foundation.
*Remember, you can always ask a professional to help you with this task!
Now, let's begin with something, sometimes, we ignore.
Our undertone!
You may be asking yourself questions like this...
What is this undertone thing?
What does the undertone has to do with foundation?
Here are your answers...
Our undertone is the color that's just beneath the skin, and while your overall skin tone can change over time, the undertone does not change. The foundations the we see on any store, they come based on our undertones.
There are 3 undertones: cool, neutral and warm.
Now, to know what is your undertone, let's make an exercise. Turn your hand (palm facing you) and look for this characteristics.
Now, look at your veins (sounds like something weird - :S). The color of your veins will help you determine, your undertone. Now follow this...
It is possible that your tone falls in between some of this, so always look for help if you can.
Now, based on that, choose your color.
If you still have trouble finding your color, look online for tools that help you find it!
