Understanding Your Skin Type



It is easy to know what kind of skin we have, but the fact that their are different types and sometimes is a combination of two, makes it a little crazy.

Hi and welcome again...

Today we are going to discuss the difference between dry, sensitive, oily, normal and combination skin, in a very simple way.

  1. Normal skin...



Characteristics:

  • Even Complexion: no uneven color, texture, or wrinkles...
  • It is not too dry or too oily
  • It is not prone to breakouts
  • It is smooth
  • You can try any product without having any type of reaction.

2. Dry Skin


Characteristics:

  • Feels tight
  • Feels dry
  • Prone to wrinkles
  • Sometimes flaky


3. Oily Skin

Characteristics:

  • Looks shiny
  • Prone to breakouts (especially pimples, cystic acne, blackheads and whiteheads)
  • Pores are noticeable
  • Feels moist
  • Clogged pores

4. Sensitive Skin


Characteristics:

  • Products affect skin: allergies, rashes, irritation and breakouts.
  • Breakouts and redness after using moisturizer. 
  • Itchy after applying makeup.

5. Combination Skin




Characteristics:

  • Dry to Oily (T-zone): Oily forehead, nose and chin, tend to breakout; while your eye area, your cheeks and your temples are dry
